so… we all do our best to teach our children about choices and consequences.

…well, some do, and some don’t. and, naturally, it takes, and often doesn’t.

in any event, more followers of this blog, than don’t, know I discuss Laws of Natural Selection. I’m fairly liberal with both my definitions and my opinions. but, you must adore all of that because you continue to amass, here, in droves.

today, I’m using this blog, again, as a platform to take “the micky” out of Islamic Extremists. assumming they won’t like it, they can fight me. we’ve done it before, and I’ll look forward to the opportunity again. hell,it’s me that’s still the one standing, eh.

my experience in-and-around Somalia has never been good. I’m convinced they are part of the “dark continent” for a well defined set of reasons that just go on, forever – even though I suspect those people, won’t. why?

Somali Islamists ban men and women from shaking hands.

in Somalia, it’s not just following the tenants of Islam, which aren’t that bad, by design. it’s, once again, the morons that take that faith (and, any faith for that matter) to that newsworthy extreme.

it’s been recently reported out of Mogadishu that  Islamist insurgents have banned unrelated men and women from shaking hands, speaking or walking together. Mind you, these aren’t people that comprise the government or are elected to drive thought leadership. these are evil minions of idiocy.

here’s an example:

residents of the southern Somali town of Jowhar are fitfully reporting that the al-Shabab insurgents threatened to whip, imprison or execute anyone found breaking the recent edicts.

I have an acquaintance that happens to reside in Jowhar that tells me he will no longer greet women he knows for fear of punishment. he also reports that gunmen are searching buses for improperly dressed women or women traveling alone. he’s seeing women beaten for wearing Somali traditional dress instead of the long, shapeless black robes favored by the fighters.

the insurgents have already banned women from working in public, leaving many families completely destitute.

the good news, here, is this may well be a terrific example of Laws of natural Selection. if those minions of mayhem and moral objectivity prevail, at all, we won’t see many left inside fifty years.

peace be to my brothers and Sisters.

Several years ago a client of mine called me a “Cultural Architect”. I liked that term, and it appears to have stuck with me as I sort out my role as a father, successful husband, social commentator, activist, seeker of truth, and a man focused on my responsibilities within my community.

Like everyone else yesterday, I gave a lot of thought to the events of September 11, 2001.

But, I have been thinking a lot more of late about the term: “Cultural Terrorist.

I was surprised to find that Wikipedia does not have a stand-alone dissertation of what constitutes a Cultural Terrorist – and/ or what it is exactly that they do. When working with corporate clients I often help them navigate or reorient (and possibly eliminate) company cultural terrorists (also referred to as corporate Nazi’s). However, in light of 9/11, I am going to focus the Blog entry on cultural terrorists, and their on-going impact on our global society.

So… A very good reason to continue reading this particular Blog entry further is so that you can learn to recognize the enemy. To that end, I am going to attempt to define and demonstrate what I believe is a cultural terrorist by outlining their potential Manifesto

A Cultural Terrorist’s Manifesto

A terrorist (as we might understand the breed today) who hijacks an airplane, or plants a bomb in a crowded shopping center, apparently doesn’t care who gets hurt as long as they achieve an objective. The fact that innocent people (often children) are butchered, or maimed, is not a concern. Therefore, with this background as a foundation, it occurs to me that the “cultural terrorist” is no different.

In fact, it is likely that the cultural terrorist differentiates themselves only by “situational ethics”.

The British probably viewed many of our Founding Fathers as “terrorists”. But a cultural terrorist is an assassin of the future; an executioner of morality. Cultural terrorism is an attitude; a state of mind – not a set of values to be dogmatically followed /3.

It is likely that cultural terrorism is a celebration of the power of the individual sociopath /4.

The aim of the cultural terrorist is to pollute the minds of the public; sow the seeds of insanity into society. His or her victims are of all ages – everybody from the cradle to the grave. It has been argued that Man cannot bear too much reality. As a result of this limited thinking, the cultural terrorist probably believes they are in the business of providing a “reality attack”. This can be further defined as an over exposure of reality – or, the dirt behind the daydream.

Often shockingly, no subject is taboo; all must be exposed. No one, or one thing is sacred (other than their own limited view of the world, religion or situation). Everybody as well as everything should feel the wrath of the cultural terrorist. The object of cultural terrorism is to exploit situations and people in order to cause a reaction, preferably negative – even though a terrorist will often claim they are following a noble cause.

At times their aim is to make money in order to finance a war that they wage upon society. The money is required so that they can purchase the technology which will tear into the heart of all that is considered normal by others but does not meet a twisted standard based on a limited view (this is often referred to as “Fundamentalist Extremism).

Cultural terrorists are the cancerous cells that would painfully destroy all that are in contact with it. They are constantly working to erase the conforming instinct. To prevent humanity from ever acting with a common will that bridge different views and faiths.

The cultural terrorist’s weapons are anything that enables him to inflict his views upon others or make him money. This can be film, video, audio cassettes, music, photocopiers, printed words, pictures – any media whatsoever (including Blogs) is acceptable as long as it achieves the objective. Cultural terrorists are little concerned how violent; how perverted; how degenerate are their means. It is immaterial to them how much their material appeals to the very base of emotions, or how much the material twists and pollutes fresh young minds, and further warps those already in trouble.

The cultural terrorist believes that nothing is impossible; there is no god; there is no morality. So, they manipulate our environment to its fullest extent. Plagiarism is not only acceptable, it is welcomed with open arms, providing its context is misappropriated and inappropriately aligned with a cause. They believe that you should not be afraid to steal from anyone. Their way is that of the liar and deceiver. They also know that the bigger the lie the better the chance of people believing it.

Under cover communication is the tool of the cultural terrorist against their enemy – not politics.

Elaborate safeguards may be placed at airports to separate would-be terrorists from their weapons. But, the cultural terrorists are free to distribute soul-destroying weapons to whom and where they choose. The cultural terrorist is both benevolent and evil. They pull the wool over their own eyes, and those influence, in a call to arms. They feel very strongly that an active role of participation should be taken in this struggle by people already interested in this form of warfare. The cultural terrorist is involved in an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhuman world. Cultural terrorism feels alien to this society and their technology and methods will tear into open up wounds that may never again heal.

The cultural terrorist believes that tomorrow belongs to them. Confusion is a weapon; Confusion is the key word. Some call healthy confusion “evil”. And, certainly, confusion can separate us from God and our brothers.

Example:  A cultural terrorist hides behind what the Qu’aRan says of  Allah /5 (another name for God) while twisting facts and not believing in, or adhering to scripture.

More later.

Peace to my Brothers and Sisters.

what’s all this about?

I can’t explain what that damn tree means - or, if it might stand for something.

However, here I do discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman.

about this particular Theme:

I'll warn you now that Tarski is theme of this blog created by Benedict Eastaugh and Chris Sternal-Johnson. It is named for the logician Alfred Tarski. I'll recommend his papers ‘The Concept of Truth in Formalized Languages’ and ‘On the Concept of Logical Consequence’, both of which can be found in the collection Logic, Semantics, Metamathematics.
