There is that saying to the effect:
“You win some and you lose some”.
Perhaps a good variation might be:
“You win some, and should always hopefully learn some”.
It’s, in my view, the mistakes that we repeat that are the more grievous.
Possibly a connection to Darwin here.
I don’t pretend this is original thinking; and, hardly articulate. And, certainly Dr. Pappas (Radford University) would refer to my thoughts as sophomoric, at best.
“Ever the wise fool, Christian” (as in my name, not necessarily my faith).
But, I mean well.
